Security Awareness and Training

Security Awareness Overview

Establishing a security mindset for all employees is mandatory for maximizing the security effectiveness of an organization or agency. Intuitive security awareness by people is fundamental to a successful security program.

An over-reliance on technology to replace the resourcefulness of the human mind can lead to serious lapses in protection. Even when valuable technology has been deployed effectively, security systems will fail in the absence of a vigilant and responsive workforce. But maintaining good security awareness can be difficult. It demands more than simply asserting that the workforce is the “eyes and ears” of security practitioners. The most significant problem is the potential for a loss of focus on security matters caused by the tendency of people to “relax” when not confronted by a currently perceived threat. At CASE we believe that pre-planning and programmatic management are the keys to overcoming the difficulties associated with maintaining a vigilant workforce. Our programs have been designed to maximize employee involvement while at the same time addressing all levels and functions within the client’s operation. Whether the target audience is in the board room, the plant, or in public access areas, security as a priority can be communicated in ways to ensure that it remains at the forefront of your employee population.
