Project Lead

dcollins2Mr. Daniel Collins has been a CASE Consultant since 2007, where he has conducted vulnerability assessments and developed security plans for several short line railroads and a large intercity bus operator. He has served as a Project Lead on a training effort for on-board train personnel teaching them how to deal with unruly passengers. He is currently the CASE Program Manager developing and implementing H-TRAM, risk assessment software specifically developed for short line railroads. Prior to joining CASE, Mr. Collins served as President of The Operation Respond Institute, producing software, training and cell phone apps for emergency responders as they confront freight and passenger train incidents. Mr. Collins is also a former Federal Railroad Administration official and is currently an Associate Member of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association Police and Security Committee. He is the author of several Secure Tracks Articles and a Facebook and linked-In participant. A graduate of the American University, where he received his M.B.A. Transportation Economics, a B.A. in Economics from Canisius College and a Certified TSA Trainer and Exercise specialist
